About Me

Hi! About me...I am a wife to an amazing man. This yankee girl fell for a southern boy. We've been together since I was 20 years old.  No need for your know how old I currently am haha.  Just kidding I'll be 35 very soon.  He's my best friend and biggest supporter.  We have two crazy and adorable boys.  Caleb is 8 and Emmitt 3...Yes I have a son named Emmitt Smith.  Clearly I love my husband.  We have two Australian shepherd puppies. That's like a whole other level of crazy in this house.  But we love them.  Hero, named by my oldest is just over a year old and Ruby is the brand new member of the family.  She's still in the early puppy stages.  Back to me.  I love coffee...like I LOVE coffee.  The smell.  The taste. I'm not a morning person so coffee is just heaven when the day starts! I love the beach. I grew up on the east coast in New England.  I lived in Hampton Roads VA for 9 years (Hubby was a Nuc on a submarine in the Navy) and now I am a gulf coast girl.  Does it get better than the turquoise water and white sand?  I'm a runner...tho truthfully that goes in spurts each year where I'm all in on training for a half marathon and then summer starts and the kids are home and it's hot and whoops I fall off of the wagon.  I love food...like really good food.  Food is my love language.

My love of photography started early in life.  My first camera was a little kodak 110.  I can't tell you how many rolls of film I shot.  I was a kid so it was usually my pets. They didn't have a choice, but to be my subjects.  In high school I took a photography class that I loved.  It was film back then. I wanted to major in photography in college, but didn't the first time around.  I went for something more...generic and boring lol.  If I had only known then what I know now.  When I had my first son I knew I didn't want to go back to a corporate setting.  I hated my cubical.  I have always been creative and I just didn't belong there.  So my husband encouraged me to go back to school for what made me happy.  AND here I am.  Doing what I love.

My style - I don't like stiff posed images.  They aren't honest.  They don't tell a story.  There's nothing real to connect to.  I would much rather have playful images that show case your love, laughter and relationships.  That's the good stuff.  That's the stuff you will cherish for a lifetime. I want you to feel something when you see your images.  I want them to evoke emotion. It’s important that your photos have a natural feel yet still have a professional quality. Life doesn’t take place in a studio and your pictures don't have to either. We can take your photos anywhere from the beach to your living room. Run around outside or flip pancakes Saturday morning. The choice is yours. You choose the location or ask me for ideas.
